Everyone is getting involved in Reading for a Cause, including our very own Principal! Any 6th grader who wants to join his book club should visit the library to borrow a copy of Ghost by Jason Reynolds. Be prepared to discuss it with Mr. McCaw on Feb. 14.

Hello Lawrence Road Families,
The "Mighty" LR is starting their reading initiative by dropping everything and reading (DEAR). We are asking students to read a book of their choice for 20 min. a day for the rest of the school year. I will be joining in on the initiative by reading Ghost by Jason Reynolds. I am challenging the 6th graders to read along with me. Ghost is a book about a kid by the name of Castle Cranshaw, who is a seventh grader, that struggles with the effects of a traumatic childhood. Castle's life changes when he joins the Defenders track team and learns that he can run away from his past. I also urge our parents to not only encourage our scholars to read, but read along with us; …because LR is U!
U-STRONG!

Tune in to hear two of our very own LR students on "The Voice of Uniondale ."
